Pros

You get to help people communicate and help them improve their lives. They offer work from home, so it's a great opportunity for people who cannot commute to a job site.

Cons

You may get long calls almost at the end of a shift.

Pros

Work from home job. Some equipments are provided. 12 days leave and 14 days medical leaves. Pay is good for people working in 3rd world country, though actually the salary is still minimum wage for western standard.

Cons

0 social life. Since you will be talking to client with various topics with confidential information, you'll be working completely alone for 8 hours straight. Idk if there's any career opportunity really. Pay is good tho.

Pros

-remote at home -sometimes feel good when helping people in need, and receive their positive feedbacks.

Cons

-Very high pressure not only because you may deal with some serious 911 situations. The call basically does not stop for the whole day if you work full-time. 1.5-2hrs long interpretation could be a nightmare*4 in a day, imagine it. -The payment does not align with the task and emotional drains. -This feels like half interpretation and half customer service. May deal with people without common sense.

Pros

Being able to work remotely Once you get the hang of things, you will know how to slightly make things easier for yourself

Cons

Don't be fooled by the fact that you can work remotely; they don't allow you to leave your device/PC at all and track how long you take breaks. No matter how long your previous call is, the standard is that they will only give you 15 seconds until the next call comes in. Usually, the next call will come in immediately due to the very high volume in the amount of calls, unless if it's a holiday in America. The server's connection is very unstable and sometimes it's very difficult for you to hear what the client is saying, but you will still need to force yourself to interpret. You will likely get very burnt out from the job, there is very high turnover rate and people come and go a lot. You are most likely not going to be their direct employee because they outsource it to a lot of recruitment/HR agencies.

Pros

I have been working for LLS for over 2 years. There are so many great things to say about the company… i love my job because it’s fulfilling. We get to help people every day through communication. We are able to work from home and LLS provides interpreters with all the resources and materials to succeed.

Cons

Sometimes the job can be overwhelming. But, that’s excepted with any type of job. And it’s manageable.
