Pros

Simply put - deciding to work at Le CollectiveM has been the best decision of my life! I feel so grateful to work alongside so many incredible women that share the same passion and drive for what they do. From the top down the team has been so motivational and supportive in every role that I've occupied - encouraging me to become the best version of myself. I've been with the agency for a few years now and am appreciative of all of the accomodations the Executives have provided me. The team truly has everyone's best interests at heart and has gone above and beyond to make sure every member feels welcomed and valued. As I grow into a bigger role, I am so appreciative of the team's willingness to celebrate wins both small and large. The Founder is extremely hands on and does her best to ensure that everyone's workload is manageable and progressing with their own interests. We are encouraged to read more, attend industry events, network with other professionals, and try new things. I'm not kidding when I say that everyone always tells me that I have their dream job!

Cons

Not necessarily a con but this job definitely isn't a traditional 9-5! We have to be flexible with working hours depending on client events, dinner/drinks meetings, press trips etc. Love that every week brings something new and exciting!

Pros

Great exposure to NYC dining scene and nightlife.

Cons

- There is no formal onboarding or training processes when it comes to accounts, admin items, benefits, etc. You are left to figure everything out on your own from day one with very little guidance. - When clients are unhappy or coverage quotas are not reached, senior team leads often blame a single person rather than thinking through how the team can be better as a whole. - Office culture is lacking and often uncomfortable since you are working out of the founder's apartment. - Compensation is not super competitive and there are limited PTO days offered.

Pros

Working at LCM has allowed me to further develop my career in ways I didn’t know were possible. Being a fully remote company offering employees an entrepreneurial approach to their work enables employees to dip their toes into everything, providing the opportunity to be promoted based on merit, not length of time. With company perks such as a HAMPTONS house for a month in the summer to allow colleagues to engulf themselves in their clients and media landscape out east and give the team a chance to take a WSET Level 1 Sommelier course to gain a greater knowledge of the wine industry and its relationship to the dining landscape - LCM invests in their team. Senior retreats, weekly in-person work days, and monthly dinners at top restaurants ensure employees are the best version of themselves in a fully-remote atmosphere. Company culture and day-to-day support provided me with an overall understanding of the hospitality industry. The small agency barely has turnover, and everyone enjoys being with each other - hard to find in PR. Their client roster is filled with luxury boutique hotels, NYC’s top restaurants + bars, and fashion and lifestyle clients. Melanie is an incredible role model who is always up-to-speed with all clients. She joins every client call, shares feedback, reviews strategies, etc. which is rare for a company owner to do.

Cons

Stress, but that's with any job
