Avoid Le Labo at all costs - (unless you are extremely desperate for a job)
Pros
Starting hourly rate is better than most part-time retail jobs, 50% staff discount (if the upper management allows you to use it), allocation of 50ml perfume (once a year if you are part-time which is kind of a joke), Estee Lauder SPC and staff shop perks, and you will get to smell good during your shifts.
Cons
I don't think I can state all of them in this space but I will try to give you the main ones. Unresponsive and careless upper management - they are quite delusional with the idea that they are the coolest people that ever existed on earth but the reality is that they are working a 9-5 job at a beauty company who used to be "niche and hip" but is now a part of a huge commercial corporate entity. If you get yourself liked by the team, you will do great but it is not worth the effort to be honest. Things just feel weird and awkward working with people in this company. It is full of people who used to try making it in a creative industry but eventually gave up trying and went full-time here either as a sales consultant or in their head offices. It just does not feel right. I have made many good friends with other sales consultants and have not heard a single of them speak positively about their experiences at Le Labo. Majority of them including me started out excited working for a cool brand but eventually got sick and tired of behind the scenes drama. And that tells you a lot about working for this brand. You most certainly will not feel valued here. There is many jobs out there that won't give you the level of stress and anxiety Le Labo gives so avoid it at all costs if you could.
