Pros

Remote-first culture and formerly great training.

Cons

Wow, I have never seen a company explode so spectacularly. Incompetent new leadership hired to take us to the next level has somehow taken us back to the 90s. CEO brought on this team because she doesn't want to handle the responsibilities of running a business and is clearly just a product person without the backbone to helm the ship. Instead of focusing on the business fundamentals, company decides to radically expand staff and develop new useless products... the result is predictable from there. Mass, unexplained layoffs and rock-bottom morale across the org. Get it together and purge the fat leeches who are draining the company dry. They are mostly used-car salesman who have perpetually failed upwards. A paper bag has more strategic vision. Probably too late to salvage this dumpster fire but it never hurts to try. Good luck, you will need it in this economy.

Pros

*Product (best tool for outbound prospecting, saves hours a day in data entry) *CS Team is fantastic, quite receptive to customers' needs however have been recently dissolved due to restructuring caused by COVID. *Networking opportunities *My department

Cons

*Leadership (they’d instead point fingers than self-reflect on their lack of leadership, vision, maturity, integrity leaves their people at a loss for direction, reps don't have any process or proven process in place for them to hit quota consistently. The quota is also not aligned with the niche they are targeting; they prefer quantity over quality which contradicts the message they are pushing with their tool and monthly All Hands-on, the two reps who brought in the most TCV in 2019 were called out for not getting enough meetings - quantity over quality - while the other reps schedule a lot of meetings that don't close). *Lack of Diversity and "good ole boys club" (a member was passed for a sales ops opening for a green colleague, not experienced and had one-month seniority but was friends with the hiring manager, in his first week the sales ops lead rolled out a new instance of SFDC mid-day without testing in-process builder, which is admin 101). If your approach isn’t gimmicky skits on LinkedIn, you don’t fit in. Even if your cadence is working, if management gets an idea, they unilaterally implement it and hold on to it even if it isn’t working. For someone who was very committed to the company, tried to walk their talk, and cares about the quality of my interactions with clients, this was very disappointing. *Integrity (will call out and shame in front of colleagues if leadership felt threatened or try to push the status quo) *Vision (You’re treated like a commodity, not a person. The lack of communication and understanding of how to inspire and motivate the team was shocking.) *Experience (leadership has minimal experience in managing or growing a business/team. Invest in your leadership team LeadIQ, or it won’t matter if your product is great.) *Pay (well below the national average, recent pay restructuring has AEs capped at 100,000 OTE)

Thank you for your feedback, and we're sorry to hear that you didn't have the best experience at LeadIQ. We're a startup and we didn't have HR resources at that time to help support our management team. However we're evolving and striving on becoming better everyday. We have been working to consistently perform a review and retro on our leadership, management policies and decisions, and has started to build our HR, Talent & Culture team to help every team member to have the best experience possible. Compensation is reviewed regularly and adjusted based on responsibility and performance as well.

Pros

100% remote It's been fun while it lasted

Cons

Ever since some key execs from Marketing and Product left the company several months ago, the company has been trending downward. Just a month ago we were boasting on Linkedin that we are still hiring despite the recent startup layoffs. Then boom, we laid off 30% of the team last week. Great planning by our leaders and blaming the team for their incompetence. - New marketing announcement is a microcosm of the culture of the company - Talk loud with no results. - Remaining leadership (many of them new hires or inadequately promoted) seem to have no clues and zero directions from them. Not very motivated working in the company when they just talk loud. - There's no sales process or training compared to my previous company. It's our job to meet quota when there's zero enablement or process. - Someone needs to replace the engineering team and their heads. Old product constantly has outage, and new products were delayed. What happens to accountability? The product that was planned was promising, but engineering was not able to deliver, which is demoralizing as a sales person. We are already missing revenue targets and this didn't help. - HR adds zero values to the company other than more processes and micromanagement for everyone. The performance review process is a joke and a waste of time. Need to provide better benefits when the salary is already sub-par.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. With the SaaS industry hit by the recent economic downturn, reducing our workforce was an incredibly difficult decision but one we sadly had to make. We understand this has caused a lot of distress and we appreciate you speaking out on this topic. Feedback is a gift. We will review your feedback and learn from this and hopefully become a better company #BeBetterEveryDay! Thank you for all your hard work at LeadIQ and we wish you the best in your future endeavours.
