Pros

None. It is a toxic work environment with a long list (and I mean LONG!) of former paralegals who will attest. Read your on-hire contracts!

Cons

C.K Lee's business model is, in my opinion, targeting a vulnerable demographic in an unstable job market and paying them FAR below entry level wages. I was one of them. I started part-time, then he offered full-time hours but only if my hourly pay was cut further by 17%! He often berated employees through sarcasm and condescension, creating a hostile workspace. The turnover rate for legal assistants was extraordinarily high. I believe he mines Craigslist for desperate college grads like myself and keeps a steady operation running.

Pros

Coworkers are nice, intelligent

Cons

This firm has to be running a scheme. They hire you very quickly, replied to my resume the same day and asked me to come in for an interview that day. They lure you in with a promised 10k bonus to make up for below average salary however my contract never mentioned this. It also said that I am an "independent contractor" with no rights or benefits that we spoke about. This is supposedly a probationary period however the contract ended in three months and it seems they have a high turn over rate to avoid ever giving anyone benefits or the bonus. They had interviews for new people almost every day and there is a high number of previous employees quitting or being fired within a few months. The owner only cares about money and relies on hiring young graduates who will sign the contract even though it is not what was promised. DO NOT WORK HERE!! (If you do decide to work here, you only get paid once a month.)

Not worth it

Pros

I was able to learn about many aspects of law.

Cons

Hostile work environment. CK is tough. He will scream at you in front of everyone and make you feel bad about the most minor mistakes. There are a total of about 25 people in the office and everyone is squeezed together. If you are female, chances are he WILL hire you if he finds you attractive... Not a good sign.
