Pros

Pay is decent. Benefits are acceptable.

Cons

Lack of communication. Lack of planning for acuity of patients. Complete failure to staff adequately according to the acuity of patients. Tendency to staff high acuity patient load as if for long term care patient load. CNAS have 15-20 skilled rehab patients. That load is completely unacceptable for adequate patient care. Floor nurses with 18 up to 28 skilled patients with high acuity, including IVs, new PEGs, NPW units. Constant patient admissions, 2 to 4 per nurse each day. Upper management and corporate at best , turn deaf ears to issues and concerns when voiced by staff, at worse they retaliate by petty actions.

Pros

Meeting new residents that's about it

Cons

Well low pay to start with, bullying from cooks that have seniority,a dietary manager who could care less about production unless if it's a state survey.
