YIKES!!!! (run)

Pros

Seniors deeply needing in-home care are being served.

Cons

This company does a good job of manipulating front line workers into believing that the mission is all about people and that employees are celebrated. It's an unfortunate facade as upper level management is outright toxic. Strategic company decisions are tragically about the almighty dollar and this becomes more and more clear as you acclimate there. Benefits cost an outrageous amount and PTO accrual is not commensurate with similar organizations. Steer clear!

Toxic Culture

Pros

The mission to provide in-home care for everyone is admirable. The energy from Joel, the owner, is magnetic; it hooks you into believing everyone is like this. It starts and ends with him.

Cons

The culture at Lifespark, at first, seems wonderful and caring. Don't let that fool you, it's the most toxic culture I've ever experienced. There is zero transparency and super passive-aggressive behavior. This is the top-down culture at the headquarters in St. Louis Park, which has tentacles. If you work at headquarters or with any team that interacts with people at headquarters, run!

No-Support and no consistency

Business outlook

Pros

There is a lot of people at Lifespark innovating.

Cons

The expectations are unclear and the regional directors of operations go back on their word often. There is no support and the expectation is to work the floor during call ins and still finish all your own reports and work. There is often missed investigations and no hand offs in between vacancies.
