Pros

Easy to work from home 100% off the time

Cons

Chaotic management with lots in in-fighting and endless meetings that end with few decisions made. General lack of direction and constant last-minute decisions with the expectation that staff work long hours with short, unrealistic timelines to achieve badly planned goals. The lack of respect for personal time is justified by saying “we’re in entertainment which is a 24/7 industry” but in fact they’re just disorganized and don’t respect boundaries. Extremely low salaries. Requests for raises and performance evaluations are simply ignored. Your starting salary will be your salary for your entire time at the company. Management used to sometimes hand out gift cards and thought these are a substitute for performance/inflation-based salary increases; they aren’t! Enormous levels of entitlement from senior managers who believe that because they’ve been there the longest, they deserve more respect and perks; most senior staff are rude, unprofessional and intimidate newer staff. They use the term “The Originals” to distinguish themselves as having been there longer which creates a toxic level of entitlement from these staff. Zero opportunity for internal promotion. Mid/senior level jobs are filled by friends of management, or advertised externally. No HR Manager or department and the General Manager who covers HR matters is slow to respond and pretty ineffective.

Pros

Made to seem like a fantastic opportunity

Cons

No follow through on “opportunities”. Looking to get away with paying you the least amount possible, if you’re lucky enough to actually get paid. The one benefit of the salary pay was that you didn’t have to deal with the log in system that others struggle to actually have tracked and paid; downside of salary, they’ll work you 65 hours/week so you make less than any store associate by a landslide. Personal phone and info was sent out on product replacement packages, no company phone, expect you to use your own to apologize to guests and remedy situations. No bank account, managers get change from their own personal bank (and even Personal change jars so transactions can be made). Absolutely the worst job I’ve ever had and i wouldn’t recommend this company to ANYONE (not guests, not employment seekers). Absolute monstrosity to Van Goghs work. No organization, hands are tied to do anything about it.
