Management also try's to guilt salaried employees into working 10-12 hour days because "that's what they do at Facebook and Tesla" The Chief Operating Officer doesn't know most of the parts and she's in charge of project management and part acquisition. The company is extremely paranoid about IP but many parts are direct copies of Ducati, BMW, and Kawasaki parts. Management asks you to predict a timeline for completing a task and tells you that there's no way it could possibly take that long, then tells you to do it in half the time. They set unrealistic expectations without even figuring out what needs to be done in order to complete the task in the first place. You will be instructed to do a task a certain way, even though you've expressed concern and have provided empirical evidence that this is not the way that it should be done, and then you'll be blamed and reprimanded when it doesn't work.

The bikes are nearly impossible to manufacture/assemble. For such a small company it was frustrating to get anything done well in the a forward thinking way. The engineering iterative process was almost non-existent.
