Pros

There are no pros to this company.

Cons

The people at this company have no idea what they are doing! People believe that they have good intentions, because the CEO is charismatic, but it’s all a show. The company is basically run by the HR department, that knows nothing about healthcare. This is the largest HR department I’ve ever seen at a company. I saw more firings, and lay-offs than any other company as well. They will probably change it if they see this review, but if you look at the Meet the Team picture on the website, more than half of the people do not work there anymore, and that is less than a year ago. They’ve even changed their name 3 times since starting. I honestly think this company won’t be around very long.

Thanks for the candid feedback. The last year and a half have seen a lot of exciting developments for Lightyear Health as we refined our care model and the team structures that support it. As with many early-stage companies – especially healthcare startups – it often takes a few iterations to find the best path forward, and the growing pains that come with that can be challenging. We’re sorry that this was the case for you. We do want to clarify that our leadership team is always collaborative when making significant decisions; there is no single department that “runs'' the company. We believe that joining a mission-driven startup like ours means one has to be excited about staying nimble, using data to make real-time decisions, and leaning into change when it serves the broader good. This is very different from many clinical settings and may not be for everyone – and that’s okay! We sincerely hope your next chapter is better suited to what you’re looking for.

Pros

Mission of improving quality of life for geriatric patients with functional and cognitive impairments is a noble and high impact one (Medicare cost to GDP) Quite simply put, everyone at the company has been wonderful - easy and collaborative to work with Strong growth in business metrics

Cons

Early stages of the company (first half of 2021) saw some pivots as the company was iterating on product-market fit (standard for Series A company) but since then it's been fairly stable in strategy and direction
