Registered Respiratory Therapist
Pros
Absolutely loved my coworkers. Lots of support and help. A bunch of great folks! Hard working and dedicated.Loved working individually with our patients, especially the elderly.Learned a bit about the homecare field that I feel will help me be a more well rounded therapist. Job location was a benefit as it was close to my home.
Cons
Poorly run company. Changes daily and very unreasonable expectations as the staffing is poor to accommodate the reason company exists..... Patient care. Not a good place to work if you are detailed oriented and truly care about patient outcome. Upper management and center managers are always trying to figure out ways to save their jobs as the company seems to rely solely on generated reports. This means they are willing to sacrifice their integrity and good employees. Turnover is high which is not a good sign of a stable company. Training is exceptionally poor. Most employees learn as they go and there isn't a good training program in place for such a large company. Respiratory Therapists (Health Care Specialists) are not able to apply their clinical skills as they are assigned a huge amount of administrative responsibilities that are not acknowledged to a new job applicant. This is because the Customer Service Reps are so overworked as all employees.
