Pros

Generally nice colleagues, pay is reasonable, work life balance is ok.

Cons

It was so much better here before the private equity buyout. The culture has changed beyond recognition and it is now Americanised to the detriment of the group. There seems to be infighting at senior levels and there seems to be no direction on where the group is going. There is a huge amount of hiring of new staff with demand for more. However it is unclear to most of the group what value the senior hires actually add. Staff turnover is increasing due to changing values of the group and better salaries available elsewhere.

Pros

Some talented and great people, who care deeply about their projects and work.

Cons

Leadership is completely disconnected with day to day and morale. Owned by Private Equity and driven by growth and profits people are the biggest losers with a real lack of care for individuals. All the best people are leaving or have left the last 6 months has been horrendous. Now with such a lack of care for people profits keep dropping cuts are being made to the talent so those left behind are being driven to burnout, a huge problem with this company. Now forming a toxic culture where you are driven until you break and the support provided, hey do some great wellness seminars, but you are told to NOT attend because you need to focus on work and business comes first! All the best people are leaving in droves. No surprise that such a large amount of burnout and mental health issues when everyone is driven relentlessly to hit unrealistic targets and growth. Bonus related to these means despite going above and beyond and the business making profits because targets are not hit, individuals do not get the rewards. That is apart from the leaders who set the targets and the ethic of work until you drop AND then walk away with high salaries and high bonuses! We know this because one leader accidentally shared his bonus with all!

Thank you for sharing your experience. We truly value the dedication and passion of our incredible team members who contribute to our important work. To ensure fairness, we have implemented a competitive standardized bonus program that applies to all employees, from our leadership team to individuals, based on their performance. We strongly encourage you to communicate any concerns or goals you have with your leader or HR Business Partner. This will help you align your objectives with how performance is measured and ensure you have the necessary support and resources to achieve these targets. We recognize that these are challenging times, and many of us are struggling to strike a balance between our workloads and personal lives. Creating a balanced culture for our employees is of utmost importance to us, and we remain committed to supporting everyone in discussing work-life balance with their manager or HR business partner. Additionally, we offer various wellness initiatives, including a comprehensive PTO package and mental wellness sessions, which are available to all employees. Our goal is to sustain a positive culture of growth, recognition, and advancement while ensuring the best possible engagement among colleagues. We appreciate your contributions and look forward to continuing this journey together. Jordan Cohen, Chief People Officer

Pros

Growing company with some opportunities. Reasonable pay with pension and Vitality health cover. Up to 30 days holidays and option to buy or sell days. Casual office dress, option to work remotely most days. Some roles are very exciting.

Cons

Acquisition by private equity has resulted in changes that don't gel well with old culture. Opaque bonus structure can be very unfair. Research staff often grossly overworked. A lot said about inclusivity, but tends to be very clique-y.
