Pros

You can gain experience and work for your portfolio

Cons

- Very under qualified and poor management - You are not allowed to have an opinion about the project being worked on unless you're management - Management talks down to their employees as if you're a child - No respect for employees, no company values and unethical leadership - There is no room to grow with the company even though they will tell you there is in your interview - Micro managing - Very showy to make people think they are a fun company. - Extremely unorganized and they'll even say "fake it till you make it" - Don't give raises and will make you stay late even if you're not getting compensated. - Lousy benefits, vacation/sick/personal days are all lumped together and only get 1 day per quarter for the first 2 years. - Inappropriate comments from management thats borderline harassment. - No HR department to go to if you have an actual problem. - Management will lie about anything to make them look good. - No training/orientation and if you don't know how to do something they just expect you to figure it out instead of try to help. - Frown upon people taking their 10-15 min breaks. - Stressful environment. - Unpaid internships

Pros

You can gain experience in a lot of things if you take initiative and you can bring your dog

Cons

-Many conflicts of interest amongst middle management leading to inconsistencies in policies and no ownership of mistakes -Low pay for lots of work -Poor insurance options and little options for leave of absence -Little to no pay time off or sick/personal days -Micro managing and time clocked to the minute -Very stingy on pay and purchasing necessary equipment -Try to be a hip/cool small agency but pays more attention to decor of the office then practicality of work environment and client's priorities -Will produce anything to please the client even if terrible design or a project that a branding agency would not do -Management does not value employees opinions or expertise -Does not trust employees to talk to clients which creates miscommunication between clients and creative team -Management will blame team for a failed project or late deadline when they are really at fault -Management will contact you after hours and expect you to work -Lack of communication all around -No training or orientation -When hired you are thrown into a messy environment and yet held responsible for not knowing procedures. -Gossipy and occasionally unethical upper management -Paycheck miscalculated almost every month -Often inappropriate remarks from middle management -Inappropriate relationships amongst middle management -Favoritism and nepotism -Management often clueless about production team and creative team efforts -Not willing to invest in new technology or campaign ideas and sticking to traditional media -Lowest retention rate of any company probably in the Lansing area -Interns paid nothing and expected to do the same job as full time employees without training or shadowing

Pros

There are some really exceptional humans on this team. They are not in leadership, unfortunately.

Cons

The CEO is only interested in employing her entire family and best friends, no matter how poorly qualified they are. The nepotism, favoritism, and overall negative culture is strong here. Pay is below industry averages, and you are expected to feel grateful that you are rewarded with a potluck once in awhile that employees have to furnish. M3 is so stringent with their budget, often times employees come out of pocket to do the right thing for clients or events, and don’t dream of asking to be reimbursed for mileage or other incurred expenses when you are asked to travel. The sales and account management team is very weak. Overall, the CEO makes most of the sales, which are filled with empty pipe dream promises. She does not care about longevity with employees or if a client renews contract. Turn and burn all day long. I would not recommend working here. Unfortunately, as mentioned, there are a lot of great people, but the gossip and gotcha culture combined with the lack of ethics and morals put forth by the CEO make it intolerable. Oh, and don’t forget the office Pug, which has literally bit several people and uses the bathroom all over the office space.
