Internal haphazardness affects quality of output and employee wellbeing
Pros
- Superb people who're talented and nice - Interesting and important briefs - Clear agency strategy and transparency on commercial matters - Noticeable effort from leaders to improve the experience for employees, including pay, benefits, and progression - Very flexible and accommodating of different working patterns - Clients are generally very collaborative and don't often make ludicrous/unreasonable demands
Cons
- Agency prone to tying itself in knots by over-promising on timings/capabilities at new business proposal stage - Ambiguous and/or primitive internal processes. Very little is documented or consistent among the team and this makes onboarding new team members quite hard - Throw chronic under-resourcing into the mix and you get an often fed-up and stressed workforce - Poorly thought-out internal communications and a tendency to ignore issues such as employee wellbeing - Job roles/responsibilities that are ill-defined means people can feel pressured to take on tasks they're not confident or able to do to the expected standard
