Pros

good company, good technology, decent salary, good benefits, great work life balance, approachable management. Overall I can say that Marin looks after their employees and is a well regarded company in the industry

Cons

not every company is for everybody and yes there are certain structures and processes in place which you won't have in a small startup!

Pros

- Great people. - Stocked Kitchens. - Various incentives, bonuses for most positions, as well as flexibility however far the roles allow. - I strongly believe this company was one of the best places to work for out there, and can be again if management succeeds in steering the boat on a good course.

Cons

- Marin has let go a noticeable % of its overall people multiple times over the last few years. You can be a top performer in your team and tomorrow there is no more team. - The company has been slowly but steadily shrinking its operations. Whatever benefits people enjoyed once, have now become fewer and this seems like a trend that is going to continue. - On the product side, when you release the re-release of the original release that was originally delayed you know something is wrong. - The market the company operates does not tolerate poor strategic mistakes that senior management made in the past and it may just be too late to reverse the damage.

One of the best places I've worked, in terms of culture and atmosphere. Full of lots of hard working talented people. The hiring there is great, and they have a big focus on people being culturally a good fit above anything else, which makes for a great place to work. Snacks and drinks in the kitchen. Plenty of office events, pizza and beers for people's birthdays, regular games tournaments, Fifa nights etc along with a running club and a 5-a-side football team. Progression opportunities exist at Marin, despite comments from previous reveiews. I got promoted twice in the 20 months I was at the company. You just have to work hard and prove yourself, and Marin create positions for people. It isn't a company you should go to if you're not prepared to work hard. Couldn't recommend highly enough

Cons

Reporting lines can be a little confusing, and upper management can be political. Management also doesn't take feedback on this. They're a little old school, but they do their best to support you. Comp can be on the low side.
