Pros

Good to have 1 to 1 tuition, easier to teach Staffs are friendly

Cons

The boss is a selfish and profit-driven leader who completely disregards employees’ welfare. He will not appreciate talent and will request a part timer to contribute as a full timer with the salary is almost halved. Do not showcase any ability or talent or he will ask you to multitask and even work more than a full timer, with the extremely low part timer salary. No incentive to work hard as working hard and slacking through will be the same pay. The boss gave disgusting and pale excuses and made false promises when the hardworking employees requested for a pay raise , while at the same time he earned millions of net profit per year. Toxic working environment and absolutely tiring working routine (6 days per week from morning to night).

Pros

There is a water dispensing machine and a microwave at one of the level of the company Like many workplaces there are politics but some colleagues are great

Cons

Sketchy company who place options for 2 types of leave but only forcing employees to choose 1 option so what is the point of the other option on the paper? To show governmental organization that it is not breaching rights? I'm all for improvement and growth but this organization accepts students even when there isn't sufficient pool of teachers available and accepts students when we are not even prepared for their particular course. The boss promise the students and their parents promising tutors as quoted "We are a group of highly trained teachers committed to serving as a support system for students." when his company is mainly made up of part timers who just finished their A level. It isn't that A level students are bad tutors it is just that how is this a group of highly trained teachers when most times when it is busy the teachers are just asked to read notes and train themselves before tutoring students. Due to the management a lot of staffs left and the burden falls on the ones that are left. He never appreciates the staff who still tries their best to keep the company afloat and he doesn't see the issue. Furthermore there isn't any benefits per say. Heard that full time staff gets a health card which can be used at selected places where you pay $20 and the rest paid by company but this is for general clinic. Other than that there isn't any bonus or any kind of benefits that you may expect from a company. If you are all for a 6 days work week (includes working on weekends) and where your suggestions and opinions will be shot down by the boss then I would recommend this job.

Pros

Certain in charges are major selfish rude stuckups who can be very irresponsible and disrespect teachers below them, bossing them around all the time

Cons

Low salary, get disrespected by in charges, snake-like colleagues who tell on you. Not a good place to work at. The system of teaching here is old-fashioned, teachers are forced by in charges to HANDWRITE notes for students, which is self-contradictory to learning as it makes the student unfocused & distracted in lesson. Is the teacher the one sitting for exams or the student? LOL. This old fashioned way of teaching style enforced by the center to all teachers is definitely going to make all students flunk their exams. Well, better for us Singaporeans then. Since most of the students are stuck up rude pampered expats
