Parent company realizes the purchase of Merchant e-Solutions was a bad investment, wants to sell it but can’t, and hasn’t invested enough to make the necessary improvements. Senior management have been disengaged, probably because they have been operating form the perspective that the company will be sold soon, despite lying about the company being for sale (likely complying with parent company's instruction) HR more concerned with asking employees to rate company positively in a local “Best Places to Work” completion than acknowledging the terrible results of internal survey done just months before; perception of employee satisfaction is way more import than actual employee satisfaction. Even if senior management miraculously started caring about the long term success of the company, they would have an enormous uphill battle due to the extremely poor state of the software that drives their business, which is clearly a reflection of many years of short-term thinking and bad management. On a scale from 1 to 10, 1 being terrible and 10 being great, the state of the software is a 1; this is not an exaggeration. And if a defect doesn’t end the company quickly, the maintenance cost will end it slowly. As a software engineer considering working at this company, someone may tell you “Yeah, the software is in a bad state, but now we’re ready to invest and rebuild and you get to be part of that exciting task”, but it will be the same lie they have been telling themselves and others for many years.

Over the past couple of years, we have made significant investments to ensure our platform is a flexible, reliable and secure solution for our merchants. That said, as we begin to implement our new long-range plan, we see an exciting opportunity for each one of our employees to be part of a fundamental transformation. Such transformation will accelerate given the foundation we have been building over the last few years. We will continue to involve employees at all levels in the organization as we design and decision our ‘future state’ related to technology. It is through our collective and creative problem-solving efforts combined with strong execution that will tip the scales going forward.

You will get fired for providing truthful answers when asked what are some of the best practices you have seen at other companies. Your answers can back fire you and some managers take things too personal when they don't like what they hear and actively make sure you get fired, rather than correcting and working how to make things better and more effective for their teams. Too bad if your manager will not have the spine to stand up for you or bother to find out the truth. HR is a total waste and do what they are asked to do like puppets without any professionalism. Look else where if you want any dignity in work life and don't waste your time with MeS. Environment very political and overly bureaucratic. Some manager who have nothing to do basically look for reasons to escalate and make an issue out of nothing. Make someone the unfortunate guinea pig so their mistakes get covered with the noise they create.

MeS is in a great location! They provide snacks to their employees and that's about it

No communication amongst the whole leadership and organization Everyone in the organization is looking for new opportunities because of the dishonesty of leadership The leadership hires and fires the same day. The company is a sinking ship and I am looking to make my transition out before its to late. No one is safe, so many talented employees have been laid off, with no reasoning. Executives does not speak to fulltime employees. The Product Team is confused as to whats going on. People are being promoted because of their looks. The company is no longer diverse as it was prior to A&M taking over.
