Pros

People are friendly Get works night out

Cons

SLT (Senior leadership team) seem to focus on making the company more "modern" and blowing their budget on meaningless objects like tvs in the offices that don't even work. The amount of staff that have came in and out of the company due to lack of management handling and workload being too demanding. The salaries! The poorest paying company ever, always say they don't have the budget to increase your salary when asked because they've blown it on stupid objects and numerous renovations that serve no purpose or are used frequently i.e the kitchen and "innovation centre" on the top of the Thomson Building. Even charities, third sector companies pay higher salaries than BioReliance. It's ridiculous how high the salaries of the SLT are (they got nearly over 5k each annual bonuses while everyone else got between 500-900quid!)

Potential to be awesome but treatment of employee's lets it down

Pros

You get to work with some of the latest technologies and in a highly challenging environment. The people you work with are mostly pretty good and a joy to work with.

Cons

Employee's are pushed to the breaking point literally, low morale among the staff due to decisions of senior management. Little to no training offered in most areas, you are expected to pick up new things mostly by yourself. High stress caused by callous treatment of non-Indian staff (ie: we feel the axe is going to fall on us each day). Differing levels of expectations depending on your geographical location. Most of us feel that despite how hard/well we work it does not make a difference. Constant pressure to produce things in timescales that are impossible, especially considering the work loads. Dissenting opinions results in negative actions being taken

Pros

There is free cereal for breakfast in the tea rooms.

Cons

I was only here for 6 months before I had to leave and go back to my old job. It was not a nice place whatsoever - the manager in the department I was in was the most horrible person I've ever met. They are so dramatic over the smallest things and I felt physically sick going to any meetings because you knew they were going to shout and moan over literally nothing. Drama drama drama and MAJOR blame culture! Also, I tried to leave and she made me feel really bad saying I couldn't because I was covering people's Christmas holidays and tried to make me work over my notice period. Bottom line - I wouldn't even bother coming here for the experience.
