Pros

*decent office location *some good people

Cons

There are many things wrong with Moss, and I hope this post will help them to improve it: Lack of organisation The company hired a lot of people in September and then, one month later, laid off more than 15%. The London office, at some point, had four managers for a team of 8-10 SDRs Lack of diversity. Most people in the London office were white British, Canadian and Irish. In a bizarre coincidence, during the last layoffs, primarily people from a minority background and immigrants were affected in the London Team. Socials and alcohol Most socials included a considerable amount of alcohol. The socials were organised on Thursdays, and the sales team had to come to the office on Fridays. When you do socials on Thursdays, let people work from home on Fridays. Favourtism and cliques Many cliques with secret slack channels. Senior SDRs were getting better leads than anyone else. Mental health I have seen people getting burnout due to mental health. Tech Some people were getting Macbooks and other old, slow Lenovo. Working hours You expected to be in the office from 8:45. Most people feared leaving before 5:45.

Pros

- good basic salary - how they pull you in - junior staff not all bad, but mostly all young and inexperienced (don't know any better)

Cons

- Extremely terrible place to work if you are looking for any diversity in terms of race, gender or age - very poor work/life balance - high turnover of staff (left or fired) - fake, inexperienced, unproffesional and hostile leadership and management which promotes toxic passive aggressive culture - poorly managed expectations ( commision and OTE non existent ) - sales team must work in office despite managers and team leaders can do as they wish - if you are looking seriously for a great place to work, where you will feel adequately supported to progress your career and reach your goals - would not advise... - also extremely competive market and Moss product is fundamentally not the leading one or remotely ready (therby extremely difficult to sell) - doubts this company will be around much longer

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate that you've taken the time to share your honest opinion with us. We care very deeply for our employees, and your feedback plays an important role in highlighting what we can do better. We are a fast-growing startup with its own set of challenges, and we acknowledge that we can improve on our ways of working, as well on on diversity and inclusion. We currently taking steps to address these areas (i.e. ERGs, people management training), and would encourage you to voice your concerns directly with your manager if you haven't yet.

Pros

Product is good. Most people are nice for the most part Could become a decent place to work in the future if they listen to feedback and make some org changes

Cons

Chaotic to say the least, feels very poorly organised. Lack of transparency on various occasions Communication is really scattered, some business updates are not clearly communicated enough by the people that should be communicating them. Very hard to get quick or even direct answers from the People team (HR). Most requests I sent just ended up being ignored. Lack of Leadership Goalposts constantly changing - which is fine in a startup environment to some extent, but it just felt like we didn't know where we were going in Moss. I worked with people at times who I felt wanted to step on others to benefit themselves (personal opinion). Benefits are awful - an L&D budget is not enough. I wasnt alone in the feeling of discontent, it's pretty widely distributed and the moral within the company wasn't good from what I experienced and they have lost a lot of decent people recently.

We appreciate the time and expertise you have invested at Moss, and we are sorry to learn that your experience here did not meet your expectations. Increasing workloads, ambitious targets, and ongoing changes are a reality we want to be transparent about as we grow at scale. We feel confident about our efforts across all Moss offices to instill the same level of professionalism, trust, and open communication. To name a few initiatives that aim to support transparency and feedback: our monthly All Hands meeting, company-wide quarterly OKR showcases, or our quarterly engagement surveys. That being said, there's always room for improvement. Thank you for your feedback. We wish you the best in your next ventures.
