Not a good place to work

Pros

Annual bonus, pension plan if you stay 5 years, most co-workers.

Cons

Many Supervisors and Directors should not be in Leadership positions. People have clearly been promoted based on longevity regather than skills. This company is going through a lot of change but so much more change needs to occur before I would recommend this as a place to work. If you want to feel valued and appreciated as an employee, this is not the place for you.

Zero employment stability

Pros

Pension after 5 years of employment.

Cons

A new CEO was hired in May of 2019 and an interim COO is implementing OGSM (Lean) principles by firing staff at all levels in Marketing, Actuarial, Policy Admin and Information Technology. A fear-based employee management structure is replacing a formerly-friendly corporate culture. Former pre-need product line has reached the end of it's lifecycle and a CEO with a sales-oriented background was hired to implement new product lines. It's not about people any longer. Don't leave your stable job to work here.
