Pros

The clever team, occasional creative work but mostly the team

Cons

Leadership is at best, non-existent, at worst harmful. I have never worked in such a toxic environment for low pay and terrible prospects.

Pros

The team doing all the work are amazing! They are all incredible at their jobs, work so hard given the owner and circumstances they work under. When Nicole isn’t in the office it’s a great place to work.

Cons

Nicole the owner has no respect for her staff, does not pay anyone for overtime or pay superannuation on time or properly and will expect you to work outside of work hours on a regular basis. Nothing is ever good enough and she blames her staff if anything ever goes wrong which would often be due to her own disorganisation and failure to perform basic managerial tasks such as delegation, demonstration and follow up. Instead of having even a modicum of self reflection she will deflect and make her staff feel worthless and bad at their jobs. She has unrealistic expectations and impossible deadlines-everything was due yesterday. It often felt like she wanted me to read her mind. She hires young people and interns who are keen for experience and wields this to her advantage. She’s only concerned with propelling her own personal brand and will only communicate with her team when it suits her. I worked for her for under a year but in that time there were many times where she did not show up For a meeting she had planned, with no communication. She came into the office when she felt like it and made sure everyone knew how impossibly busy she was. I am incredulous as to how she manages to obtain and keep clients. She has a bad reputation in the Newcastle community and it’s for good reason. Unhappy clients and unpaid vendors were not uncommon. If clients were happy it was never communicated to us, she took all the glory.
