Pros

Well-suited to employees who desire autonomy and the ability to take initiative. Nexight invests heavily in employees' skills. Small, flexible, exciting work environment with co-workers who are committed to excellence.

Cons

Employees who prefer a traditional 'step-ladder' approach to career progression may struggle at the company, though (when I left) management was seeking ways redress this concern.

Pros

- Office space is brand new and spacious - (Somewhat) flexible hours - Flexible work space (not chained to desk- option to work outside or other places around the office)

Cons

- Minimum entry-level salary - No clear structure for progressing in the company - Apparent sexism - Obvious gap between management and entry level employees - Entry-level employees' skillsets/knowledge not used/valued: will be used to google and copy and paste things. Nexight will call these mundane tasks "research and communications" - Management is passive aggressive, verbally abusive, inconsistent, and arrogant. - Company culture is clicky, gossipy, and all around horrendous. Ironically they will tell you they are overly concerned about their employees' happiness. - Every employee who has left in the past few years has voiced similar concerns, and Nexight will dismiss these individuals publically at company meetings, claiming they resigned due to a mismatch of skills, or because THEY didn't "fit" well with the company - EXTREMELY unprofessional all around

Pros

Nexight is a great place to work. It's at a size that allows you to see some growth and potential of the company, but it's still small enough that you can really get to know your colleagues. Mutual respect is big, and people at all levels in the company value your work. Management listens to you and acknowledges when things can improve--and unlike many other places, will take steps to make wrongs right. Company culture promotes mutual collaboration and team effort. It can be seen as a pro or a con, depending on your personality, but because it's a smaller company you will wear many "hats," as another reviewer mentioned. I enjoyed being able to learn new skills that would make me a well rounded independent consultant, were I ever to take that route. You can appreciate the company's commitment to transparency regarding business development matters. Management celebrates the wins but acknowledges the losses. Keeps you grounded. Also they are diligent about composting and other environmentally-conscious practices at the office...and employees have good taste in beer. In all seriousness, this might be one of the only places I've ever worked where I felt that if I had a legitimate concern with management or business/HR practices, I could bring it up and feel like my voice matters.

Cons

Health benefits were great, pay was somewhat competitive, but PTO was very low.
