Pros

- Amazing supervisors and program directors who genuinely care about each individual clinician and go out of their way to make everyone feel seen and heard. - Freedom to think outside of the box and be creative - Company focuses on team building and having fun by planning events and weekly group supervisions - You work with a challenging population that encourages constant growth and learning - Employs clinicians who are different from one another and utilize different modalities, which encourages clinicians to learn from one another and grow in how they approach clients

Cons

- The agency doesn’t put much effort into continued education or training opportunities for its clinicians - There are cliques among clinicians and it’s often intimidating for new clinicians and long term ones alike. Some clinicians will make under their breath comments in group supervisions that can make you feel unwelcome - Due to the high need for clinicians many staff are not held to the same expectations in regard to client care or sharing the burden of large caseloads. Rather than terminate less effective and capable therapists, team leads continuously give other clinicians more because of their abilities, which leads to resentment and burnout.

Pros

1. Company that truly cares about clients. 2. Variety in job duties (everyday is different). 3. Sense of genuinely helping others in their recovery.

Cons

1. Challenging cases and large caseloads can lead to burn out. 2. Pay scale is below average within the state, and the health care coverage is similar to the old major medical plans. 3. Management does not seem to know how to assist with burn-out. 4. Very few opportunities for advancement and company tends to go outside of the agency for top administrative and management positions.

Pros

Great need for services, very busy

Cons

Just about everything wrong an employer can do happens here. Slave-owner mentality. Very, very low pay, not accepting of suggestions or willing to communicate. Exceptionally behind the times and it will always be that way. Hostile work environment, women are treated like dirt by the men, pretty fake benefits (not as they appear at all), no security, employees have extremely stressful jobs but are not supported at all, insistent on taking 100 steps to do what the rest of the world could do in 10. Business revolve around management's personalities and length of employment rather that management putting the services and needs of the patients first. Extremely high turn-over.
