Pros
1. Good Canadian work culture in general but your life will be governed by the expectations of your manager. 2. Decent bonus at the year end. 3. 2:1 DPSP matching up to a maximum of $5,000 every year. 4. 3 weeks vacation + 1 day added for every year of completion up to maximum of 4 weeks vacation. 5. Hybrid structure - 3 days office and 2 days wfh 6. Frequent social events - Christmas party + team lunch, etc. 7. Good Medical and Dental benefits with 500 dollars of healthcare spending account. 8. Opportunity to invest in Northleaf funds without any carried interest.
Cons
1. Lower starting salary as compared to industry. 2. Work during weekend is expected during busy season. Your life will be governed by the expectations of your manager. 2. Pyramid structure. 3. DPSP matching instead of RRSP matching (cannot use for purchase of home) 4. DPSP is vested only after 2 years of continuous employment and maximum of $5,000 only. 5. Existing employees and outside candidates are considered as par during hiring process. They will most probably go with outside candidates as they will have more relevant experience.
