Where to start? Zero flexibility within the workplace. Work/Life balance? Not at this company. Thinking about taking vacation? No way. Not unless you're willing to work at your destination. Management is absolutely incompetent and refers to company as a start-up yet has been in business for a long time and cannot get things going. Revenue is very volatile. There is no opportunity to move up within the company. This company does not pay overtime, and you are expected to work overtime. Sometimes being pestered to work on weekends and late nights even if you have no work to do. All the work that you do will not be recognized and credit will be taken from you and transferred to management as if they had done your job. Have to work on national holidays which the management doesn't recognize. You will be denied any breaks besides lunch time which is 1 hour per day. If you are late coming back from lunch, even one minute, you will be ridiculed. You will be underpaid. Pay cycle is messed up, you get paid in the middle of the weekend, Saturday night, instead of Friday's. There is no HR department and no offered benefits. The company loves to show clients that it is "big" and "innovative" but only has couple confused employees who follow management like a cult. There is zero innovation, or cutting-edge design work going on. To be quite honest, almost 90% (I'm being very generous with 90%, more like 95%) of the design work done here is plagiarized/stolen from other, larger agencies and high-end luxury brands that the management lusts after. If you work here, you will experience a high amount of passive-aggressiveness and threatening emails along with vulgar comments and conversations that are not workplace appropriate. The management swears that the company has great culture when there is no culture or company values. You will be gossiped about in foreign languages in the kitchen in front of your face. Working here felt very much like I had enrolled in an Intro to Farsi course at my local community college. Very unprofessional. Company feels like it is run by two fifth graders (Management argues a LOT in foreign languages). Just save yourself some time and don't even think about working here.
