Pros

Good projects and nice people

Cons

They fired all people in Mexico as soon as COVID hit, the CEO insists he contacted everyone to come back after a couple of months but that's simply not true. He now claims he has more employees now than before COVID, but that's because he's hiring in a different country for different projects, all the previous efforts and people are not there. This sort of behaviour should be transparent. I remember a post just right after he fired everyone in Mexico saying that the company would be "helping businesses" with their needs during COVID, but that's obviously not a thing for the employees. On top of this, the payment rates are extra low for Mexico, no benefits, no holidays, no paid sick days. Only raw payment as a contractor to get a bit more money which is still at most half of what you can get with the competition. CEO obviously has plans for him and his company only

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, in times of a pandemic, tough decisions needed to be made. Your comments are factually incorrect and misleading. ObjectWave has had a presence in Mexico since 2005. Closing down was not an easy thing to do, but had to be done. I apologize for any hardship this caused you.

Pros

Small company.. no dress codes

Cons

Now in times of the covid, the ceo (SAM), took the decision of fire all the people in mexico and other cities, he practically forced all employees to firm his own resignments ( he was using a third company ''to handle the payments'), maybe because he was planning to avoid to pay the law compensations in a future situation (like covid)....So practically he leaved everyone without work, in the middle of the covid crisis. The company is very proud of their culture and support to his employees, but honestly after doing that, i don't know how is that.. CEO thinks that he leads a big company with offices in san diego, mexico city, tampico and kiev, reality is that there is only a couple of people working remotelly, no offices.. he want to give the impresion of a big company...Currenlty, it is not

Thank you for your review, I appreciate you taking the time to submit your review. As CEO, I take every review seriously, and I do spend the time to evaluate how we can make the company better for employees, customers and partners alike. Unfortunately, COVID-19 caught everyone by surprise and hard choices needed to be made. Our employees in Mexico were furloughed for a period of 60 days with company funded partial pay and healthcare costs paid for. Within 90 days, everyone was contacted to return to work and the company now has more employees than pre COVID-19 levels.

Pros

- Friendly employees - If this is your first job, then jump, otherwise don't

Cons

- You will never get a position promotion - You will never get a salary increase ( forget it, never ever ask something like that) - Do not ask for training ( that is too expensive, again forget it ) - You will have to perform extra work, do more than your best, and without any kind of reward - Objectwave enjoys to hire "the very best project managers".. and gets PMs without enough knowledge about management. ( what a waste of money...) - People are constantly leaving ( any clue? ) - No growing plan for employees

Thank you for your review, we take your comments seriously and we truly try to make ObjectWave a better place to work. I'm assuming your review is for ObjectWave de Mexico, and although ObjectWave US is strongly affiliated with OW Mexico the work rules are very different in Mexico versus the US. It is hard to comment on your posting since in 8 years of your employment there were at least 3 different compensation adjustments that tripled the average salary in Mexico. So I don't understand how you can make your comments and it is very hard to address. But your title gives good advice, and I too suggest talking to employees former and current before considering ObjectWave whether US or Mexico.
