Pros

Colleagues genuinely care and are friendly, although also seeming to share the same struggles. At the start they’re great- very welcoming and ready to help. Good CPD package, although impossible to attend it due to workload

Cons

Very high workload as an employed member of staff. Still expected to see full caseload with any meetings, additional admin, risk calls, supervision. Some people end up seeing 7 people in a day to account for this. There is a team as such, but no team time- you’re so busy you can’t often make any opportunities to see them. Toxic traffic light system based on KPIs where you are told whether you’re underperforming or not - If you’re on leave for a week then your KPI turns red against your name as it doesn’t account for this. I feel so isolated- it’s hit and miss whether people will respond to you or not in other departments and you’re just sat with things outside of your responsibility.. the systems are built for network therapists meaning you are shut off from seeing anything outside of your calendar/cases etc. I feel so tired working here. I’ve lost the joy in helping people recover.

Pros

Induction period was really lovely and the initial training was really good but that's where it ended. Reasonable targets.

Cons

Basically a call centre job. Really outdated booking systems with a lot of unnecessary admin and emails, as a result therapists would often miss emails and the blame would be passed to CLOs. No trust amongst staff, was once made to show senior staff members my emails to prove I had sent an email. Would encounter verbally abusive clients regularly with no support afterwards, just on to the next call. Too many confusing job roles. Total inflexibility from seniors, once asked if I could work from home for an extra day due to transport issues and was told no. Senior staff often took credit for lower staff members achievements.

Pros

Flexible diary from 8-8pm Nice client group Good venue for therapy sessions

Cons

Overworked - targets for therapists are far too high. No support for therapists. Little to no development opportunities. No opportunities to upskill or train further. Limited opportunity for promotion. Your concerns are not listened to by management. Terrible patient management system that’s not fit for purpose. No recognition for the difficult work we do.
