Great pay but stressful environment with poor leadership

Pros

- great pay and benefits - looks great on the resume - most coworkers are great, incredibly smart and helpful - plenty of interesting technical problems to be solved

Cons

- seconding everything said so far about the CEO and Sr. leadership. Decisions are made hastily without proper review, without consulting the affected parties, and this has constant negative ripple effects. It seems as though no one can tell her no or no one wants to, regardless senior leadership is a revolving door on every team, this company has by far the most turnover of any I’ve worked at at the leadership level - the product team is headed by an ego maniac who speaks over everyone else in meetings and is just generally rude and unpleasant to work with. He also refuses to take valid criticism which has led to many botched product launches. Somehow he still has a job - they are hiring almost entirely offshore to cut costs. Hard not to think that sooner or later stateside employees will be cut loose for cheaper labor - the work environment overall is just stressful, leaders are always in a panic and putting constant pressure downwards, almost no one seems happy and everyone is constantly stressed - constant changing of internal systems used for no apparent reason, which has led to many processes being overly complicated, broken, or just plain worse than they were before. Change for the sake of change

Pros

The product is solving a niche problem in dentistry. Most ICs are smart and kind people to work with.

Cons

The CEO has zero people management skills and no empathy. There is one thing being a demanding CEO, but that is not the same as being a mean and unkind person. She constantly demeans co workers in meetings. She called me off for my slight stutter in a team meeting when i was presenting, telling me to speak "clearly and properly". The extremely high turnover of senior leadership and ICs is a warning sign.
