Pros

-Being a part of extremely innovative technology -Room for your personal/prefessional growth -If you in the right department you may have a great tight nit group to work with

Cons

The company began with a really positive atmosphere and deep team dynamics. After some more recent shifts in goals Pager's culture quickly grew sour. Many colleagues had trouble and undue stress brought about by management; and later many long time and hard-working staff member were simply let go or fired unnecessarily. There seemed to be a switch from caring for employees to only caring about monetary gain.

Pros

- Work from home policy is good - supposedly unlimited vacation days

Cons

Please do yourself a favor and avoid this company - This company is full of cronyism. if you try hard to make friends with key peoples and play politics , you will be doing fine. - Management uses intimidation and coercion tactics to treat people (e.g "if you don't do ABC, we will punish you with XYZ" is common ) - Completely opposite to the values they claims to be - High turnovers, average tenure is like 6 month ish - Low Engineering Pay (relatively to similar companies in NYC of course) - Toxic environment. Managers would tell you lies brazenly and gossip behind your back - Don't keep promises. They promised you something and later find lame excuses to not honor it

Pros

Good healthcare benefits and access to Pager app free of charge

Cons

The good people are leaving the company in droves. Employee turn-over is quite high even for a startup. The business development team, for example, has been cut in half because the good ones left after a few months, despite the fact that they could have 25% of their stock options vested had they stayed for few more months. Even the HR department had two people leave within 6 months of getting hired. In engineering, key people who were top performers either left or were let go due to disagreement with upper management. There are people in management who add negative business value to the company and are clueless as to how to fix the organizational mess they have created. The company preaches about its “core values" a lot. However, it is all just branding and never practiced. HR preaches “social justice” and holds training sessions with far-left propaganda material of little to no value. I wish I had taken these reviews seriously when I was deciding on which offer to accept. Like another reviewer said, potential candidates, stay away!
