Pros
-consistant employment(decent amount of shifts / work) -pay rate is ok for hospitality and there are bonuses on the weekends -ability to move positions throughout the business and change style of work. -great training experiences, good for growth of hospitality skills -Access to counselling, EAP and other services that may help in difficult times
Cons
-Overworking, low staff in many areas, mainly to do with paying staff being an issue. Wages are typically cut incredibly fine even when there is large demand on trade/ work etc. -Staffing, typically most clubs especially penrith are very low on staff. Meaning again, there is high expectations on employees to perform at speed and volume. -Leave, 1-2 months notice is required. Instances where the company will notify staff that there is no leave avaliable for upwards of 9-10 months. (Questionably illegal) -Notorious for having a HR department that struggle to negotiate leave entitlements or peronal issues with employees, again pushing staff harder than necessary rather than working with them.
