Pros

Surrounded by technical people who know their stuff, without the egos that often come with it. Strong encouragement to contribute to the wider community: research, blog writing, and showing your work publicly is supported. Leadership genuinely backs you if you want to carve out a name in your area of interest. Zero micromanagement. There’s a high level of trust in staff to get on with the job. Work-life balance is second to none. If you’re passionate about your field and keen to grow, PTP is a great place to be.

Cons

Training budget isn't great and there's not a lot of formal structure or career pathing - could be challenging if you're looking for a clear development plan, more money would always be nice too.

Pros

🤝 I'd been working for myself for about a decade when I was told about this business and I was pretty much sold on them after one call and a bit of research. But after five years now in the business what's been my experience 👇 ✔️ Well after being with PTP for around five years at the point of posting this review I can honestly say it's been nothing but a positive experience. 🎰🎲 Within weeks of starting I was offered an all-expenses paid trip to Las Vegas for the Defcon Cyber conference which I of course accepted, all flights, a massive suite in Caesars Palace, and all food and drink expenses. An incredible experience and very generous of them. ✈️ As the company grows those sorts of overseas company-wide trips are hard to put on but the business continues to put on events through the years like hiring an entire Boeing 747 jet for a day and other events. So if you join PTP then your diary will have some great events/meetups dotted throughout the year 📅 ☎️ Although the business has some base staff in Buckinghamshire, it has been a pioneer in remote working for over a decade with what must be over 85% of the staff working remotely hence why there is a great focus on events and meetups so we can connect as a business and as individuals. But in terms of remote working, PTP has been doing it for many years and knows how to get it right alongside opportunities to meet up. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 The culture has been great to date but the business is growing fast so that sort of I guess you might call it "family feel" culture can be hard to hold on to but they are trying their best to encapsulate and keep hold of as much as that as they can as the business grows and becomes more structured. I've worked at places that failed that transition from a "start-up" type outfit to a larger business but PTP is making all the right moves so I hope they get there. 💻 As for my day-to-day, I've experienced pretty much zero micromanagement and nothing other than help and encouragement over the years. 👂 Everyone in the business, from the day-to-day people I work with or Partners etc are all very approachable and ears are open and listening. 🏆 In terms of perm employment, it's probably in the top two places I've worked for and I've been doing what I do for nearly 40 years now! so have experienced the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly over those years. Also, a lot of jolly impressive, and clever people work in this business so you'll make some great connections. 📈 It's a business very much on the up and in a great sector.

Cons

None really. To be honest I could earn a lot more elsewhere but that's not really what motivates me these days. In the years that I've been there, they've had a model of salary and profit share which has suited me but that may not suit everyone. Day to day as a place to work and as a group of people I've got no cons.

Pros

Kind and caring business. This approach is driven from the very top of the company. Zero micromanagement. Everyone treated like an adult. Family orientated and flexible. Empowering place to work. Always listened to. Highly talented team in every department. The best company I have ever worked for. I cannot rate it highly enough.

Cons

Absolutely no cons. This is how companies should be run. If people are treated with kindness and respect, then they will work hard and be loyal to the business. PTP is a working example of this being done right.
