Pros

Nice people. That is all.

Cons

I have never worked in such an unprofessional environment. There is a horrible culture of pretending that they know what they are doing while they are years behind other companies. Processes are inadequate and antiquated and it seems that it is less a matter of not wanting to but more being inept and uneducated in what should be done. A special mention must be made of the "training department" who couldnt teach monkey to eat bananas. It is in fact probably within this lazy department that all falls apart. Hiding behind the mantra of "you cant teach anything" they then proceed to teach nothing and con the rest of the business into thinking that it was the employee who had done wrong. Many people have either left or been sacked because of there inability to do their jobs.

Two faced management and Quality Assurance

Pros

Nice offices with some great people who are supportive and knowledgeable.

Cons

Too much favouritism, micro managing and a Quality Assurance Team who seem to rule the roost who are allowed to dictate on who stays or goes. They pretend to be supportive and can't wait to see people fail and give impossible targets to achieve. Management bow down to them and deny any wrongdoing. As for the micro managing these people get above themselves taking all the glory for doing very little and then rewarded for this.

Thank you for sharing this review - I’m sorry to hear that this has been your experience. Although every colleague’s experience with mental health is individual and personal, we do aim to provide a supportive environment and provide training for line managers on this. If you haven’t had this experience I would encourage you to speak to a more senior manager or someone in the HR team; alternatively there are a number of other channels to raise anything that you feel isn’t being managed appropriately. This currently includes our 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme, Mental Health First Aiders, Working Groups, Employee Liaison Committee (ELC), line management and ExCo sponsors. We’re passionate about nurturing talent at the PPF and recognise the importance of formal and informal training. The experience you’ve shared, and the approach taken, isn’t in alignment with what we aim to provide. I’d be happy to learn more about this - if you’d like to discuss this further with me, please do get in touch. Thanks, Katherine
