Lack of Leadership and Immature Management
Pros
- Majority of coworkers were decent people, some quite pleasant - % off gear for employee purchase
Cons
- Lack of compensation for the amount of stress and work placed - Terrible benefits (horrible health/dental/vision plans alongside no true PTO besides California's required 3 days --- they say you get 5 your next year, but you can "steal" them for your first year, leaving you with no PTO for the following year). - Huge lack of diversity with problematic language used by two managers in power that promotes division. - No designated HR - Open workspace in a small space with two majorly loud and obnoxious characters (they're not going anywhere). - You have a decent probability be laid off in the shop or in other business relations (non-ops) within a less than a 1 year span (saw it happen to a few of us). Employee retention there is not good. - No workplace guides to/lack of following any basic ethics (crude and unruly language not refraining from uses of derogatory and bigoted rhetoric, or that of pedophilia in one extra extreme case). - Management that is invasive, unreasonable, and inappropriate playing to the idea of "family" and "friendship". - Performance reviews monthly that actually are just expectant of you to solve the company's issues, rather than putting forth any effort towards reciprocal critique.
