Pros

Thankfully I was able to gain professional development as well as enhance and learn skills that would end up helping me get future roles despite all of the unnecessary daily chaos working for PCMI.

Cons

There are so many cons to count, but I'll only comment on one that disgusted me beyond belief. One day, the former president of PCMI walked by his assistant's desk and although his assistant was away from their desk at the time, he noticed that he had received a package. He opened the package which ended up being a dog collar and leash and then excitedly and sarcastically said that the gift he got for his assistant had arrived - insinuating that his executive assistant needed/should be wearing a dog collar and leash. The vile joke didn't land with anyone who was within an earshot so he walks over to another employee who sat on the opposite side of his executive assistant's cubicle and made the same joke (even showing the collar and leash) to which that employee replied, "that's not funny." There were many times I felt gross working for this company and this was definitely one of those times. I should have let HR know, but I knew nothing would happen other than potential retaliation against me so I continued to grin and bear it like most of my colleagues did at the time.

Pros

Great colleagues and a few employee incentives

Cons

Management, lack of leadership from management, lack of promotion, very corporate mindset, burnout environment, all about the numbers than actual member care for health insurance. There is favoritism; even if you do the work and are very skilled and have all the potential for advancement, don't count on it; the supervisor already knows who she will promote based on who is her favorite and very biased environment. 3A+ system is a joke; the supervisor will lie and put anything on it without meeting with you or acknowledging your work ethnic growth because HR will flag the review if it's a good one.

Pros

-Supervisors and HR are very professional and work with you on personal circumstances to find the best outcome, not just whats best for the company. Especially when it comes to PTO and other scheduling concerns to personal issues. -Direct Messaging (through Teams) to nearly any co-worker, supervisor, etc is encouraged increasing company transparency and camaraderie, even for fully remote staff.

Cons

-Issues between different departments/phone lines (ASC and CCSB) would not be properly communicated to each other prior to cross-line solutions or alternate call routes being implemented. This is issue is very infrequent -Calls can run over, so planning events for after your shift and certain shift hours can severely impact work/life balance. Do not set appointments/events within 30-45 min of your shift end in case a call drags itself out
