Pros
There are really only two positives of working here. —Commission (usually) amounts to twice the price of the sale or donation you have secured (assuming that they donor stays signed up for 2+ weeks). —Many of the other Account Managers, as “brainwashed” as they are into this pyramid scheme, are genuinely nice people outside of work.
Cons
Here’s the rundown of working at Prestiz—it is a multi-level marketing agency. You will make far below minimum-wage (I usually amounted to making about $3 per hour), you will work absurd hours (Monday-Saturday, 8:30AM-6:30PM), and the gist of the job is approaching people on the street asking them to sign up to “donate” to Prestiz’s clients (I worked with the Humane Society and the Special Olympics). Everything within the office off of State is very shady too. The only real way to make money through this job is to sign a ridiculous amount of people up through donations. I would advise anyone looking for a real job to stay far away from Prestiz; they try to lure people in by creating the theory that if you work hard and sign people up to them, you will have a luxurious and rich lifestyle; the simple fact of the matter is this is not true. You are disposable to them and they know that. With that said, look out for Chicago Connect, B&G Advertising, Prestige International, Michael Joseph Inc., and Pinnacle Solutions as well. These seemingly “different” companies all operate out of the same office and fall under the same parent company (Credico).
