Pros
Work is dynamic and pretty flexible; lots of opportunities for writers to go outside for restaurant and business features; occasional travel opportunities
Cons
Writers are over-exploited; they’re basically the all-around worker, given tasks that are not in their job description even when they’re already swamped with other tasks. I get it, it’s common to give ‘other’ tasks to employees, it’s a good chance to learn. But it’s different when your writer is already swamped and you still give them tasks that other people could easily do. Bosses can be stupid and stubborn even when they’re wrong. They seem to be reluctant to innovate and listen to the younger employees. They can’t turn away from micro-managing, especially the Japanese CEO. And oh, them being Japanese, they are the complete opposite of the Japanese stereotype of being strict with time and deadlines. The Japanese managers and CEO, are always the cause of production delays and messed-up schedules.
