Pros

Almost all of the colleagues are very helpful, nice and genuinely wonderful people to work with.

Cons

Management is toxic and unhelpful. They will go out of their way to talk the employees down. There are certain people who are on a weird power trip, possibly because of the size of the place. The management have also been known to discuss intimate/personal affairs with other people or mention them loudly in a crowded room. Any suggestions about making changes that would benefit the staff are always met with a lot of pushback.

Pros

Small hospital located in a small island, accommodation allowance/Staff allowance, retention bonus, higher rate than UK

Cons

Usually short staff, many lazy staff refusing to answer call bells, poor management, no free healthcare in the island even if you are working in the hospital you will need to pay 50 pounds to see gp, nurse patient ratio in the ward is much more than nhs, sometimes ends up with 10-11 patients, not safe anymore
