Pros

You spend far too much time with your colleagues to hate them, and thankfully those I spent the most time with were not only great at their job, but lovely people I was genuinely happy to see each day. There is chance of growth and benefits in the company, however it is only for the “favourite” teams.

Cons

Unfortunately, one by one, those colleagues all left for their own, but very similar reasons. Severe punishment when leaving made a tough decision an easy one, as I have never been spoken to so rudely, and as our meeting room is a glass box, publicly, as I was upon handing in my resignation. While this is absolutely unacceptable, more than anything it left me with sadness that after working so hard for people I had gotten to know well, true colours came out that way. Other than that: - Progressive in name, not in nature: while many in our team tried to push forward, they were very unwilling to try something new. I was still painfully doing the same thing I did 3 years prior with no changes. - Changing/taking away commissions with one month notice with no room for discussion. Cannot be trusted to pay what is promised. - Progression only available when you leave for a better role - WhatsApp messages after hours - Benefits/incentives for some teams, getting shouted at publicly for suggesting other teams get it for others

Pros

Pizza day to welcome new staff.

Cons

I had an extremely disappointing and stressful experience working for Progressive Property. From the very beginning, it was evident that the company lacked meaningful structure. There was no clear direction or strategy in the department I worked in, making it difficult to perform effectively. Higher management were not only unprofessional but also rude, oppressive, and completely out of touch. Constructive feedback was nonexistent; instead, there was an overwhelming demand to prioritise profits at all costs. This oppressive atmosphere created by management and directors led to a toxic work environment where employees felt undervalued and demoralised. Furthermore, the company offers no protection or support for its employees. Many dismissal practices raised serious concerns. The high staff turnover is a glaring indicator of the issues within the company. During my very short tenure, I saw numerous colleagues leave due to the unbearable working conditions. Additionally, I witnessed multiple employees being terminated without true just cause. This constant churn disrupted teams and made it difficult to maintain any momentum in projects. Overall, I would not recommend Progressive Property to anyone seeking a stable and supportive workplace. The lack of planning, oppressive management, and absence of employee protection make it a highly unfavorable environment for professionals. My advice to anyone considering applying is to conduct thorough due diligence and pay attention to the numerous poor reviews online - they are written for a reason.
