A Good Starting Point

Pros

A modern and open office, full of welcoming and fun people. Great projects and clients, good opportunities for growth and development of skills. Good perks, management want people to be happy at work and implement programs and activities to reach that goal.

Cons

Some staff have mentioned frustration with lack of salary increases. Perhaps more balance is needed between continuing to hire more people and paying current employees a little more to keep them wanting to stay at pulse long-term.

Pros

the was half decent pension

Cons

* no work life balance where your 40 hour week is monitored with software * Poor senior engineer skill level * PMS are non technical creating un-realistic time frames * Expect to work solo with little help from Seniors, if you ask for help it will be seen as a weakness or you dont know what your doing. * Clicky office * Hardly any female engineers, Male dominated with a bully like mentality * Poor salary * You will constantly be put under pressure on a daily basis * High turnover of staff, people leave all the time.....and for a good reason they dont like the job or the environment so save yourself the time and give this place a miss This is the worst company I have ever worked for, All your time is tracked in something called "Toggle" and anything not accounted will be questioned After the induction my manager went missing I didnt hear from him for a month, couldnt care less about you after the glitz and glamour of being whisked down to London. Dont fall for it. Please if you are interviewing for other positions, those options are better. You can come back later to this review and you wont be sorry. The way Pulselive treat their staff is nothing short of a disgrace. I will never give up get my point across about this company. This is just the beginning. They think that things can be swept under the carpet. It cannot.

Pros

- Great dev structure and leadership - Good clients for your CV - Free snacks - Brand new macbook pro

Cons

Really low salaries/bonuses compared to other places Afraid to stand up to clients, at the detriment of their own devs Little investment in current employees Very cliquey, don't expect to be invited out after work Projects badly managed People always leaving, means continuity in projects is low Unless you're a senior management favourite, don't expect much attention or help

Hello, Thanks for your review. As always, we welcome all feedback in order to make sure we’re continuing to improve life at Pulselive. We're pleased to see that you valued the projects and clients you worked on/with as well as being positive about how we structure our development teams and the Leadership behind this. We have worked hard to create an environment that allows our team members to enjoy owning their work and to thrive, with appropriate support from senior colleagues. We are sorry to hear that you didn’t feel positive about a few things during your time at Pulselive. We are committed to investing in our staff and this is highlighted by a number of significant promotions achieved at all levels in the business this year. Regarding your comments about staff leaving, we have to be honest and find this surprising. We have actually had very few leavers this year. We also make sure we have regular company outings and social evenings in order to encourage socialising across teams and offices. Finally, we recognise that working in sport is not as lucrative as some sectors (e.g. finance), however, we endeavour to offer very competitive salaries and benefits packages within the current marketplace. Once again, thanks for taking the time to review.
