Pros

Not many. Unless you want to waste 4 or more years of schooling to get paid and treated terribly. May be nice to get starting experience, but your wasting your time staying any longer than 6 months.

Cons

Bad management, bad pay, bad health benefits, bad work environment ( not very diverse and very depressed people), bad instrumentation ( old or outdated), they would rather hire new people than promote old, very thankless high pressure super boring job.

Great company, terrible department

Pros

The company of Q is great; they care about their employees and take care of them.

Cons

The chemistry department, in particular, is extremely toxic and clique oriented. If you don't conform or fit in you are pushed out. They say they want to grow and develop but anyone actually trying to implement growth is chastised. Ulterior motives are often in play and working there felt like a game.
