Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience at R3 was not a positive one. While we acknowledge that the company has gone through changes, we are continuously striving to improve transparency, communication, and overall people experience. We appreciate your contributions during your time with us and if you would like to discuss your thoughts further, please feel free to reach us at peopleteam@r3.com.
Good pension contribution.
Good benefits in general.
Decent salaries.
Cons
Middle management that act as a wall (engineers can't get their opinions/feedback across).
Not a meritocratic company (you can work hard and someone else will be promoted/praised for your work).
Unusually high number of silos given the company size.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your thoughts. We're sorry to hear that you weren't happy in your time with us. We encourage all managers and employees to have (at least) a check-in every 2 weeks, to foster both a relationship of trust and to encourage honest feedback and sharing of opinions. We will continue to promote this.
Your feedback has been passed on to our leadership team to discuss. Thank you for leaving a review, and for your time with R3.
The team were all friendly and genuinely considerate and kind to one another.
Opportunities for upskilling and growth.
Cons
A large amount of employees were made redundant seemingly out of nowhere with no prior indication that anything was wrong. Would be quite wary of the company going forward as it promotes a culture centered around people but seems to not deliver on that promise. No transparency or honest communication. Very disappointing.

We’re sorry to read you wouldn’t recommend R3 as great place to work but do appreciate you listing a positive and kind working environment along with opportunities for upskilling and growth as pros of working here. Across our 10 offices globally, employee happiness, development and training are all very important to us.
In regards to the cons you listed, any decision on the restructuring of a team(s) is in lockstep with the needs of the market to ensure R3 meets demand, and wherever possible we try our best to re-deploy people from within. When that is not possible, we understand that those types of situations and conversations may come as a surprise, and do strive to communicate any necessary changes as promptly as we can. The successful commercialization of our products and accountability to our employees and ecosystem of partners remains key to us as we help bring about the next generation of fintech.
