Pros

The company pays well. Has great benefits and perks. That is payment for your cooperation in knowing that they owned by and governed by the Brethren. If you can get past that and their brainwashing techniques, then you may like it. Most of them are truly nice people caught up in a world that left them no choices.

Cons

You cannot socialize or eat lunch with community members which can sometimes be uncomfortable. Most of upper management has never worked anywhere else so they have no idea what business is like in the real world. The company does well, but their processes and business practices are unusual. If you are not a member of the community, you will never be promoted or move ahead to any significant position. They look down on women and have little respect for their opinions. I'm sure you will see a surge of positive reviews after this because they will have current employees or members of the community try to tell you how wonderful it is to work there. Truth is, its not a bad place if you are looking to do your job, go home and not expect to enjoy your job or make friends while you are there.

Looks nice from the outside

Pros

The salary increase every 6 months, the profit sharing and the car allowance are all nice extras

Cons

The nice extras do not make up for the fact that most of the managers/directors are not very good at what they do. They really heavily on their employees to do all the work for them. They also talk a lot about flex time, which is horribly misconstrued. All it means is you don't have to take a day off to leave a little early for a doctors appointment. It does NOT mean you can leave early as long as your work is done or work from home. That is not what everyone was told when it was rolled out, seems like they like to change their minds very often. A lot of turnover within the company and not a lot of documented procedures causes many issues where a lot of people are left with little to no training. There is also almost 0 room to move up. You are either at the bottom, a manager or a director.

Pros

Ranger Design provides opportunity for SUCCESS for people that are motivated by continuous improvement, being held accountable for achieving results, teamwork and working in a non political atmosphere where bringing out the best in others is the way to get ahead. Employees are the most valued asset here and those that demonstrate high potential get advanced quickly. Employees are expected to take ownership and contribute to continuous improvement. Monthly Incentive Rewards make everyone see that their efforts do pay off.

Cons

There aren't any. The expectations are high, and performance is measured by the results achieved. This is a company where high achievers flourish and persons that aren't interested in contributing do not fit the culture. Some people will not do well in a culture of "More is Possible".
