Pros
I've been working with RMS for more than 5 years in 2 different offices, currently in London. Some of the pros:
- work is intellectually stimulating and engaging, you'll always be able to find a new challenge.
- high level of independence and ownership (varies slightly based on position, experience and team, but overall there is very little micro management)
- variety of tasks, allowing to develop a wide range of skills and experiences (e.g. data and analytical skills, client management, presenting in front of top level management, engaging with business owners, training and team management...)
- good career opportunities within the company and competitive benefits package
- most importantly, we have a great team. Everyone is really hard working, but there is also a lot of room for fun and jokes. Hierarchies are very flat, people are helpful and supportive, and many of my colleagues have become really good friends.
Cons
- it's a small team so there's a lot of responsibility on everyone and things can get a little busy at times
- turnover has been sometimes high in the past, which can take its toll in a small team. It has stabilized a bit recently though
- being a satellite office has some minor challenges (main office is in the US) due to time difference and requires more effort on communication
