Pros
My immediate supervisor/head librarian was great. She was really supportive of your schedule and your overall well being. I enjoyed learning about legal materials and helping others do meaningful research.
Cons
The job pays near minimum wage if you have a Bachelors, Masters in Library Science or J.D. At the same time, you also act as a security guard for all the transients who come in to avoid the heat/cold. Management never seems to care about improving the library so there is a high turn over because eventually, people get tired of being ignored so they quit.
