The work was not satisfying from the very start, the codebase is deprecated with no proper structure at all, discussions for improving it keeps continue with no proper strategy on how to do it, so forget about skill development.
HR policy keep changing every 6 months mid year so new joining employees get their appraisal after 2 cycles, and no clear communication from HR about it either. There is no proper standard for employee payout, some experienced people are getting very less or same salary as freshers with added bonus, which again is added to some employees w/o any clear reason from HR. Till 2024 quarterly lunch and monthly dinner was provided by company, since the arrival of new HR, that too have stopped completely.
There was job security initially but with arrival of new engineering head, the number of layoffs has increased w/o any proper explanation, also they force employees to resign in less time than specified in offer letter w/o giving them full salary for notice period. From 2025 onwards, the toxicity in office culture seems to increase overall too.
Upper management have no clear vision on what path to take in future for company, the requirements keep chaning until the development is complete, also they customize their own product so much based on customer demand, it feels like working for a service based company.
