Pros

Well I am an ex employee of this organisation, wanted to write a review earlier but thought will take time to write it when I am realistic and truly objective in my take. The purpose of the review is to just give prospective talent a sneak peek into a few things who should not feel cheated like 100s of other employee felt along with me because of high handedness, callousness and selfish machinations of Top Management. 1. First to start with- almost everything abt this organisation is fake and is made to appear good for an outsider. The problem is they over do it that it is obvious to the people sooner than it should. Example the cumulative rating being 4.7. If you see out of 39 odd rating more than 35 have rated it 5/5... wow even the best organisation would be shy of this enviable ratings?? Lol its very obvious that most of the reviews are fake. you read it and any person with common sense can make it out..Not just these - there Awards, recognitions, increments and promotions are entirely guided by whims and are given to favourites. there comes the second PRO-blem(2) : The management thinks evrybody is fool and they can get away doing whatever crap they want. The Top Guy- 'Mr Unlimited' thinks he is God. He can make or break peoples career. He has good oratory skills and eloquently masks his evil schemes and emotes almost at will. He is a good actor at best but lacks a good heart and objectivity which is necessary for a Top guy. He is kind to people who are his yes man and gives them bounties at his will as if this company is "his" and turns his wrath on anyone who may have an independent but right opinion. He forgets his primary objective is to create value for all stake holders. He feigns to be very ethical but does things which are not compliant with regulator's rules... His prime chamcha - "Mr Sympathy" lacks general basic business acumen. He asks his reportees to read out every report and data from worksheet in meetings and put it on board just to comprehend whats going on. He takes meetings to eternity just to get a grasp of data and purport and shows world that he is the busiest person wasting everyone's time - ofcourse everyone is a slave to him. He also hires his chamchas from his past organisation to ensure that this legacy of onemanship runs through the organisation. PRO-blem 3: the culture of the Organisation which is controlled by these two fortunate jokers is abysmally bad for any sane and capable person to be in the organisation while having a meaningful tasks and works. They have hired everyone in top 2 level who are “their people” – favourites albeit incapable.. Who cares, they have successfully fooled Australians to put money for their circus and they run it at their will for their bill. I have seen best of the peoples – colleagues falling in and out of favour of these two people even inspite of putting the best performance just because they did not confirm to their style of work and because they did not fall in line with their whims and fancies PRO - blem 4 : There is no parity in salaries. Incapable people who are naturally Worst performers are given hefty salaries but hard working and capable employees can be denied good ratings just because he/she might not be a follower of the God. Its almost like a cult that they try to create. Anybody who is not in line will be made to fall out of the company eventually. PRO-blem 5 : When the top Management is incapable and next 2 levels are entirely their people who are hired through “ So called References” rather than real merit, this organisation is bound to have many incapable people who would make other capable and hardworking people work harder to compensate their incapability. Its like you use a bunch of good guys to deliver, make them spent fuel throw them out and have another army of people ready. Thanks to current covid situation otherwise attrition is so high that people doubt whats wrong with the company and how come Board of directors take no view of it… This company does not understand smart work. They only reward who appear to toil and work long hours - majority of which goes in flattering their seniors Not all is bad - If you are an individual who can "manage bosses" and " do "good flattery" this is the best place for you. For individuals who believe in good work and objective and meaningful output this is an emotional drain. This place saps your energy like no other thing..

Cons

1. Alike the TOP guy other CXOs and next level guys too are so arrogant and vain about themselves. Only a couple of guys are good, objective and rational. 2. I can go on and write another 5 pages - but the net effect is do proper research and connect with people before joining this organisation. Do not go by lofty promises and claims these jokers make and use your own brain 3. All companies have positives and negatives, however its very difficult to find out a positive aspects of this organisation - they loot their customers, they fool their employees and exploit them, they dont pay any heed to regulators dictum - eg there is a regultory rule of not charging on foreclosure of loans - but they do it. There are other NBFCs who do it too but they do not claim that they are the most ethical in their business dealings

Pros

SBFC is shaping up very well under the new management. Since May 2018, post induction on CHRO, there has been a tremendous focus on employees and the benefit of the employees. The company has hired more than 400 employees in last 5 months and still looking for another 300+ employees.

Cons

There are none at this point. Except that expecting dedicated, committed, result oriented employees.

Pros

Would definitely prepare you for your next job well.

Cons

The organisation works with one mindset: my way or highway. there was never any scope for taking your input, and working 7 days a week is considered normal and something to be prided upon. but let me leave it to numbers: half of the company left within 6 months of its creation. if that is not telling of how bad the work culture was, i dont know what is.
