Today I'm sharing a difficult professional reality. I was hired by a payroll firm Shimento to work at a product company Kore.ai. Despite delivering two major backend features and handling full-stack work beyond my job description, my contract was terminated the day before my probation ended, citing 'performance issues' with no evidence or feedback. This highlights a harsh trend in Indian IT: third-party contracts are used to bypass employment protections. I'm sharing this not to attack, but to urge other developers to review their contracts carefully and know their rights.
