Pros

If you want a super casual no-pressure work environment. If you want to work a really long time at a very relaxed company just to maybe someday get a position where you can throw your weight around to the new people and advance just for participating in a popularity contest.

Cons

There is blatant corruption and emotional abuse. Drama/emotional waste is self propagating due to the nature of the work environment, which means that professionalism is nonexistent. HR is clearly not on your side, that or they are so far removed that they can't tell who is right so they just trust the people in power every single time. If you talk to people in other departments you will notice that these are not isolated incidents. If you want a promotion in a timely manner you can forget about it. They do company-wide promotions and it is extremely delayed, sometimes over a year, as are merit raises. Credentials mean nothing, hard work means nothing, it's all about schmoozing the right people at the right time. If your work style is to work hard every day and keep your head down, this is not the place for you. All the qualified people leave their positions and then someone who is clearly not at all ready gets moved up in the queue. Due to this, the company is like a burning ship.

Pros

Close to my home...then we have the cons...

Cons

Benefits worst in industry. 10 days of vacation for the first 5 years. Really?!? Expensive insurance. I simply could not afford it. Management style promotes reprimanding employees and pointing fingers. Promote those who are in the club, but dont promote those who challenge current thinking. Lack of GMP culture. Poor review system. No career opportunities.

Disappointing

Pros

Decent starting salary. Most people are friendly.

Cons

Relatively poor benefits, Health care is on the expensive side, but manageable if the salary is right. 2 weeks vacation for the first 5 years is well below industry standards. 401K match is average, but 5 years vesting plan is absurd. Company may have a clear direction, but it is not known beyond executive levels. Overstaffed with far too many employees for the amount of work to be done. Suffers from antiquated management scheme with no real pathway for modernizing company structure. A severe lack of highly educated people to move the company forward, decisions are made by people wholly unqualified to make them. Top heavy in management. Actively discourages working hard. No system in place to effect changes that are desperately needed. Most people appear to have given up and are simply collecting a paycheck. There is a toxic environment in many groups, resulting in very little team effort to solve problems. Many employees good ideas or opinion son improvement are not valued. Status quo is maintained at all times. Too often, the blind are leading the blind. Excessive amount of meetings that accomplish nothing and problems are never clearly identified such that quality discussion can occur. Seems doubtful everyone is on the same page at meetings.
