Great team culture but slow project pace

Pros
Such a great team of smart, passionate people. I was worried that joining a bank would mean I'm joining a slow, outdated team that didn't have a defined design community, but that was quite the opposite. Scotia has their own design system (and team), user researchers, product managers, engineers, and a ton of designers. The teams work well together and it's a tight knit community.
Cons
It's a bank, so there's a lot of red tape and projects generally move slower through the pipeline. It worked out for me as a new designer because I really got to dive into each step and take my time through each step, but may not be exciting for a lot of people.
