Pros

I worked at Seattle software developers for almost 11 years from the Redmond coding office which is across from Microsoft. It's a really cool company that keeps project management on main street in Bellevue and coding in Redmond. Off the hook staff, great bosses, and pets get to hang out for free and run around. Love and will always miss "mexi fridays" where the project managers would take us to Mexican food with only "one" margarita for free. People I saw come into coding were Paul Allen, Jeff Bezos, and celebs like Snoop Dog and Matthew mcconaughey Worked on Waze and Spotify there but moving to Spain.....SAAAAAD

Cons

Deadlines can go through the weekend so if your late on a project and are a lead like me your working on Saturday sometimes but they do pay.

Pros

Seattle Software Developers is an outstanding company for those seeking a career filled with exciting and top-tier projects. During my 13 years as a Senior Project Manager, I had the opportunity to work on complex applications within the app development department, although the company also shines in the medical, dental, and banking sectors. One of the unique aspects of working here is the commission system for project managers, which adds an extra incentive to keep projects on track and clients satisfied. The work environment is energetic, and the collaboration between teams is top-notch. They have two offices, one in old town and one in a 2 acre farm in Bellevue. The farm has a small creek, and is quiet. Also has a swimming pool that the owner fires up during the summer and staff literally lives down there on wi-fi July/August. One of the coolest perks was the company culture—especially on Fridays. It wasn’t uncommon to spot Microsoft and Google executives hanging out on campus, even Mark Z from FB would bring a bottle of tequila or something once in a while. The stakeholders also own two epic advertising firms just for the sole purpose of making our software clients shine on Google. As a result, we are a one stop shop for tech leaders to get stuff "coded" outside of the ecosystem they work at. adding to the vibrant and high-caliber atmosphere. The exposure to such influential industry leaders was both inspiring and motivating.

Cons

The fast-paced environment can be challenging, especially when juggling multiple high-stakes projects. Also, the ownership does not want to "grow" bigger than 5 PM's which makes the workload intense, and work-life balance sometimes takes a back seat. Hard to walk away from the 3% commissions (after dev costs) on each project

Pros

Working for Seattle Software Developers is like working at the edge of space. Most of the clients they work for are actually other tech guys, Microsoft and Amazon Executives and or Entrepreneur's looking for good native code that works flawlessly. There is always some high end execs in the "dojo" on Fridays having some wine or coffee yacking with the PM's and coders and interns from UW that flock here to just hang out in the atmosphere so all of that is cool. SSD cherry picks the best engineers from UW and they actually have a UW room here for students to study. There are numerous restaurants nearby within a block and all of that makes it a good place to work.

Cons

The cons are the parking and sometimes the owners can get hard core about staying late which happens a lot because the contracts are sometimes due within the week, etc. Ownership does pay a commission of 2-5% for PM's so its worth it, but it does get exhaustive. The parking in old towne Bellevue stinks, and every 2 hours the parking guy comes around. Some of the guys in the office created an AI with cams that tell you with 5 minute warning so you have to do the shuffle. We need parking but there is parking its just two blocks away.
